   Hi Charlotte

   I moved to France in 2004 after spending over 20 years running a landscape and garden maintenance company in southern England.

   I have discovered some freedom, skills I didn’t know I had, realised I was not as good at some of the things I though I was good at.

   I also realised, like yourself with the allotment, that a garden is time consuming and it is stressful if you take time off from it.

   Probably the most important thing is that life is too short on this planet and it pays to get as much done as you can while you are still fit and healthy.
